Very quick response from KobraTechBy Monish
I am not sure if I got one of the bad products but I was not very happy. After 2 days of use the swivel ball joint that attaches the phone to tripod just would not hold. I have a galaxy s6 which is not very heavy. The phone just kept tilting because the ball joint could not hold up. If I tighten the nut any more it will break. The problem is because the joint is made entirely of smooth plastic, if this had been rubberized it'd think it would hold out very well. Also, white rubber parts on the bottom keeps falling off, this isn't a big deal since it can be put back pretty easily. The phone tilting while taking picture is what is driving me crazy.
EDIT: So after I posted my original comment, KobraTech sent me another product within a day or two. My first reaction was, if I didn't like your product the first time why the heck would I like it the second time? Well, the product was a diffrent, in a good way. The looks were all the same but the build of it is sturdier. The smooth plastic issue I originally posted had been addressed by making the plastic joint coarser therefore more friction to hold the phone up a little longer. The "tentacle" is also a lot more rigid and sticks to many surfaces. The product is in no way perfect but for the price it is great. My phone doesn't slide down due to lack of friction anymore.

Doesn't work as advertisedBy Rasonics
I bought this Tripod right before our vacation. The product only worked for a day and it fell apart after that. First, the adjustable metal ball joint wouldn't stay in place. Most likely because iPhone 7plus is heavy for the joint to hold it in one position. Second, the remote has a mind of its own. It does not work half the time. You have to keep toggling the off/on button for it to connect with the phone. There are time when the remote button is stuck and it takes hundreds of continuous pictures until you turn the remote off or turn of your camera. I would keep the tripod If one of the above two functions worked but unfortunately it is useless. The tripod is too light and in stable in more than a very light wind condition and it could damage your phone. I have processed return with Amazon. I would pay a little extra to get a sturdy stand and functional remote shutter.

Awesome tripod for your smartphoneBy ABC
This is an awesome little tripod. Very versatile. We recently visited Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and brought this tripod along to use with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I was thinking about getting a Go Pro but concluded that my phone had a better camera and is waterproof so I went this route. The phone fit with no issues even with the case. My case is pretty slim so you will probably get away with a larger or thicker case. The legs are sturdy yet very flexible - you can basically use this tripod anywhere. You can mount it to basically anything that you can wrap it around. Or you can simply just place it on any surface. You can also just use it as a selfie stick. It comes with a remote camera shutter which connects via bluetooth. It worked flawlessly. You can take pictures portrait or landscape since the mount is adjustable.
I would definitely recommend this tripod for those who are looking for a good one for their smartphone.
