1Dead zone too large, and not adjustable. Unusable for my purposes.
By EM
Yoke appeared relatively well made. I had heard some good things about it but had not researched it thoroughly before purchasing. Was replacing a CH Eclipse yoke because I thought it would be smoother. The throttle quadrant is excellent, but the yoke has a fatal flaw, at least for me. The dead zone is very large, and not adjustable. I am a professional jet pilot with more than 8,000 hours, and I cannot hand fly smoothly with this yoke, the dead zone is so large. The Eclipse Yoke dead zone is adjustable (I fly with zero dead zone, it's the most realistic), and after futzing with the Saitek, I realized how good the CH yoke really is, for the price. Researched the dead zone issue and found many others complaining since 2012 about the same issue, so Saitek/Logitech clearly has no incentive to fix it. I did find some information on opening the case and replacing the USB controller to achieve a zero dead zone and much better performance, but with my Eclipse sitting at home, it wasn't worth the effort. Too bad really, because if they made the dead zone user adjustable, it would be a really fine yoke for the price; slightly better than the CH perhaps. Returned as unusable for my purposes (Proficiency). Hanging on the the Eclipse.

3Only 45 degrees of motion. :(
By Thomas Banks
Beware: This yoke only has a 45 degree range of motion from center to either side. See the attached photo.

I was surprised when I received it and found that it did not have a full range of motion, not exactly a "Pro Flight Yoke". While using it I did find that the input on the yoke for the first 35 to 40 degrees seem to match the simulator yoke movement 1:1. The final 5 to 10 degrees of motion on the yoke seem to be accelerated to account for what would be the final 45 degrees of motion on a real yoke.

The Cessna branded Saitek yoke explicitly states it has 90 degrees of motion from center to either side. If you care about that, buy the Cessna yoke instead. You're not just paying more money for the Cessna logo, it is actually better.

1Stay Away From Saitek Products Until Logitech Is Handling Tech Better.
By Matthew R
Stay away from this product until Logitech Tech Support has actually taken over the release of drivers.

Currently if you have any issues, such as I did (the HIB was never properly recognized). Saitek will not assist and Logitech runs a time wasting script.
