1. GREAT screen - beautiful colors, bright and clear. Prettier to look at the the Mac Air's non-retina screen, though the Air's is no slouch, just a bit of an aged design in its resolution. Movies on the Macbook play fluidly and video, fonts, pictures, etc are all very clear.
2. Terrific trackpad. You can change the "click feel" to light, medium or firm, and I had to change it to firm for my liking. The pad is responsive and has a good feel.
3. Keyboard - nicely lit, and has a good feel to it. I have read several reviews complaining about short key travel. Overall, to me it feels much like other Mac laptop keyboards excepting the key travel. Keys are bigger than in my Mac Air's and have less space between them, which I am not sure I like, but the keyboard itself as a whole is about the same size and I haven't made too many mistakes typing on it.
4. Generally pretty responsive - programs like Excel open quickly, web pages display quickly, file download speeds are very good, as long as you're not doing too much at once.
5. SSD is very quick - Black Magic speed test results were around 800 on writes and 900-1000+ on reads - much higher than my 2013 Air's but s bit shy of the Macbook pro's. Still, very strong.
Cons -
1. Gets HOT under even moderate use....much warmer than my Mac Air does with similar load. I was wearing shorts and had to remove from my lap several times due to the heat, just downloading my movies and installing software.
2. Can get slow when doing moderate to heavy multi-tasking.
3. Single USB-C port might be a problem for some, necessitating an adapter to charge and use an external device at the same time. To be fair, there really isn't room however for a second port without compromising thinness. The existing USB port is on the left side behind the keyboard, and the space on there right side behind the keyboard is occupied by the headphone jack.
