Pros:
*Screen dimensions are perfect. I have three Chrome windows opened at all times, and that extra width makes it a delight. The OS desktop opens up to a whole new level...you finally understand how well the desktop can be used.
*The curved screen is subtle but makes a big difference in the immersive experience.
*The colors are adequate for a non-professional. I would not think this monitor would be the best for image editing, but it is just fine for scrolling through photos.
*The display has built-in speakers with adequate sound quality. I wanted my physical desktop to be streamlined, and having adequate speakers in the monitor avoids extra clutter on my desk.
*The design is quite nice, especially for Dell, which I have found in the past to be far more utilitarian than design-conscious. The bevel is only a few mm; the stand looks and feels like Apple's trademark aluminum; the control buttons are touch-sensitive and unobtrusive; and the adjustability of the screen is simple and fairly elegant.
*There are numerous ports, but all it took to connect my Macbook Pro was the included DP cable.
Cons:
*The resolution is far inferior to 5k models...and seems to me to be less than many 4k displays I have seen, including the Thunderbolt. I bought the monitor knowing the resolution would be slightly less than 4k, but other reviews highlighted better "aspect ratios" etc. so I took a chance. Bottom line is my eyes begin to hurt reading text on this screen for longer than 5-10 minutes. That's a pretty big con, but I like so many other aspects of this monitor that I will enjoy it for general browsing, photos and videos.
